FAQs
Everything you need to know about our puppies, process, and what to expect.
What is included with a puppy?
All of our puppies will have received a health check from a licensed veterinarian. This includes their first vaccination and deworming. All of our puppies come with a 2 year genetic health warranty as our parents will always have been checked for genetic health issues as well.
Upon transferring a puppy we will provide a re-homing kit which includes a portion of their puppy blanket, and zip-lock bag of food to adjust your puppy to your desired brand of food, vet records and ask about microchipping (new).
What is NOT included with a puppy?
We offer to meet families at our closest major airport the day they are ready. This is an extended trip for us, but we do know it is really helpful for our families that want to fly in themselves. Unfortunately, alterations to these plans may require additional costs. We don't try to make money on alterations, however we are not always available to travel 5–6 hours and in attempts to accommodate we often have to hire a trusted individual to accomplish these tasks.
When looking at plans for pickup, consider additional costs of holding the puppy for a significant amount of time (about a week or longer) and extra travel needed to meet your needs. We are always excited to meet our families at the airport, but the cost of the puppy does not include excessive alterations to pickup plans.
What is included with the puppy is what is included. Other items needed for transport should be considered or asked about. We are glad to make recommendations or order items in for you so they are with your puppy at pickup. Whatever we need to do to help out!
When will you have a puppy available?
Please check our momma's page for predicted litter dates. While we strive to provide accurate estimates, there are some things that are just out of our hands.
How does the waitlist and puppy deposit work?
We have a structured deposit system totaling $1,000 per puppy. There are two ways to get started depending on your timing and preferences. All deposits are non-refundable but may be transferable to a future litter at our discretion.
Option 1 — Join the General Waitlist
This is for families who want priority access to upcoming litters before litter-specific spots open.
Step 1: $200 deposit to join the general waitlist. Your preferences will be listed, and you'll be contacted with each litter announcement.
Step 2: $300 deposit to move from the waitlist onto a specific litter list. This reserves your pick order within that litter. If the litter is short a puppy or doesn't have what you're looking for, your litter deposit is refunded and you return to your original waitlist position.
Step 3: $500 deposit to confirm your puppy selection. Puppy selection begins at approximately 3–4 weeks of age, in order of deposit.
Option 2 — Join a Litter List Directly
If you already know which litter you'd like, you can skip the general waitlist entirely.
Step 1: $500 deposit to join a specific litter list and reserve your pick order.
Step 2: $500 deposit to confirm your puppy selection once picks begin at 3–4 weeks.
Once a puppy is selected, any withdrawal from the process will forfeit all deposits as a fee for re-homing the puppy with another family. We believe the best opportunity for the puppy is one that begins with a family as early as possible and want to discourage any last-minute changes as much as possible.
All deposits can be made through simple third-party payment apps, credit card, or mailed checks (if time permits).
How is the final price determined/paid?
All prices will be set at our litter announcement but within our listed range on our website. They will still vary based on sex and markings but those will be specified as well.
Full payment (price minus deposits) is preferred in cash or cashier's check at puppy pickup. For families using a travel nanny, payment must be received the day prior to transport.
We ask that payment be arranged ahead of time because electronic forms of payment often have daily transfer limits. Handling this in advance ensures a seamless transfer process for everyone.
Do you work with Travel Nannies?
We absolutely do. However, we highly encourage local pickup of our puppies as the preferred method. We utilize a third party company which charges $600–$800 depending on destination throughout the lower 48 states major airports. Smaller airports are an option, but an additional fee may be necessary.
This service is a standby service. This means flexibility on pickup time may be needed. There are options for confirmed flights, just inquire for more details. Payment for services is not needed until after flights are confirmed. Travel Nannies fly via standby, therefore the times may be altered. Understanding this can create a complexity of issues if times change, however we are unable to control these occurrences. Overall, the process goes fairly smoothly a large majority of the time. Booking a Flight Nanny cannot occur until your puppy has had a deposit placed.
Process For Using a Flight Nanny:
1st: Reserve a puppy with a deposit.
2nd: Request a Flight Nanny.
3rd: Determine appropriate options for date of travel. Discuss with Frosted Goldendoodles.
4th: Frosted Goldendoodles will request a Flight Nanny 1–2 weeks prior to travel date.
5th: Once a Flight Nanny with estimated flight times is given, payment of $600–$800 is needed to confirm the travel.
6th: A day or two prior to travel the Nanny will create a group text feed to keep all parties updated for meet ups.
7th: Final Payment for puppy needs to be transferred the day prior to Nanny pickup.
Who raises the puppies?
We strive to raise puppies in a home environment at ALL times. As you can imagine, multiple litters in a year would be quite overwhelming in a single household. However, we have taken the approach of using our guardian families to assist in raising puppies. Under our guidance, training, and monitoring we can accomplish the full care our families expect for their puppy while having a house full of children and neighbors to provide the handling each puppy deserves. We DON'T use kennels!!!
When inquiring about a puppy and looking to perform a FaceTime with them, you will be connected with the guardian family to see the puppy.
Can you keep my puppy longer if we're not ready at 8 weeks?
Yes — for select litters we offer a structured training and boarding program run through our guardian families. We have a 2-week program for $900 or a 4-week program for $1,700 (which also includes second-round vaccinations). These spots are limited and must be pre-arranged before puppy go-home.
Because our standard airport meet is timed to the 8-week handoff, families using the training program may need to arrange separate transport at pickup — we'll walk through the options with you. Curriculum is tailored per litter.
How do I pickup my puppy?
Our mammas may be located in a few different locations in Utah. A majority of our families choose to fly, so depending on which location, we will offer to meet you at our closest major airport the day they are ready. LAS (Las Vegas, NV) is our main hub for meeting families. Always check when making arrangements which airport your puppy would be flying out of!!!
If a different day is needed, we charge a $200 travel fee. If extended boarding is needed (about a week or longer) we charge $150/week. Looking for a longer stay with structured training? See our training and boarding program — that's a different tier than basic boarding.
